What is the difference between them? ATH-M50 vs ATH-M50s
The only difference between Audio-Technica Ath-M50 and Audio-Technica Ath-M50s is the wire. Nothing else is different. One has a coiled cable and one is straight.
M50 is Coiled. M50s is Straight (‘s’ mean the straight cable version). Note, it’s a bit cumbersome. Of course it’s all a matter of preference. Only the user can make that decision. The coiled cable is about 4 ft. but stretches to 9 ft. The straight cable is 11 ft. long.
I think the straight coil would be used for things like TV or whatever. You can use it to stretch far to your couch for example. Coiled would be more outside usage.

Great Music Listening Headphones
I purchased these headphones a few months ago. The ATH-M50 are extremely clear. I really enjoy the bass quality. It’s punchy and crisp and stays audible and clear. I’ve been using them to listen to a variety of music, watching TV, playing video games, listening to MP3s (even at 128 kbps) is still perfectly enjoyable…

Is it Possible to Love Headphones this Much…
This is my Audio-Technica Ath-M50s Review. They are professional, comfortable and cheap. I can wear them all day on and off. The Ath-M50s design is just solid all around. The cord is great and the jack is industrial grade. The sound quality… the best I have heard thus far – extremely accurate.
The highs are very crisp and precise. The bass is just perfect. The mid’s has a great separation from the highs and lows. Audio-Technica Ath-M50s studio monitor headphones are just about as good or better in some ways as being able to crank that home theater to extreme volumes. I love my Ath-M50s.
