ATH-M50 Sound

The Audio Technica Ath-M50 have definitely quite bass heavy but not overpowering. Extremely suited for techno or rock tastes where growing bass is desired. I would say the highs are very natural and do not sound too bright. The Audio Technica Headphones are totally balanced in my opinion.

They sounded just perfect right out of the box. The ATH-M50 Headphones have a lot more punch than the Shure 840s and far better than the Bose QCs in every way. I definitely don’t need an Amp for my iPhone.

Audio-Technica M50 Size and Comfort

If you would like big sound, you’ve got sacrifice portability and comfort to some degree. However, the ATH-M50s aren’t very big, and they fold down pretty well. These truly sit fairly nicely on my head and around my ears. The ATH M-50 headband fits very good on the top of my head.

Most of all, my ears don’t get too hot at all even after a long time listening, unlike many headphones of this size. They are manageable while traveling – definitely make sure you get the coiled cable version – Ath-M50 vs Ath-M50s

ATH-M50 Headphones – Build Quality

The Audio-Technica Ath-M50s Monitor Headphones cable appears pretty large without being cumbersome, and also the metallic socket finish seems really stable. There is a metallic spiral supplied to stop the cable from bending too much, which appears like a great design and style.

Just one complaint I have concerning the M50 Headphones is the fact that the cable just isn’t removable. This complaint, however, doesn’t stop me from giving the ATH-M50 a best 5 star rating. I’d even pay 2x price for them.
